I work with both Caitlin and Eva at the YMCA where we rock the front desk! Caitlin plays a dual role at the Y and is also a personal trainer (She's actually Eva's trainer!). Caitlin has been such an inspiration with her weight loss journey that actually led her to become a personal trainer. Over the course of a year, Caitlin lost 100 pounds on her own! These days she is still kicking a** in the gym and continuing her journey with weight loss and building muscle strength! Eva and I have worked out on and off but back in February, Caitlin started a friendly weight loss competition between the employees at the Y. This competition kicked our workouts up a notch and made us more serious about working out. These days Eva meets with Caitlin once a week for one on one training and then she participates in group training at her new Y! Caitlin does daily workouts both on her own and occasionally with friends (thats me!).
I asked these two ladies to do this lifestyle shoot with me because of their passion for fitness! They both work so hard and I wanted to document that with this photoshoot! If you want to follow them along their journeys, check out their instagrams! ( Caitlin / Eva ) If you would like to read more about Caitlin's awesome weight loss story, check out her blog here
This morning I woke up with the urge to do a photoshoot. While thinking of people to ask to be models for me I realized that I've never really taken any pictures of myself and my boyfriend (aside from an assignment I threw together last minute in college for a class that made me so angry. It was actually a spite shoot the more I think of it...I'm surprised I even enjoy portrait photography after taking that class but anyway...) Tyler had a fancy work event which worked out perfectly for his outfit! He got ready with about 15 minutes to spare before he had to hit the road. Just enough time to have a little photo fun! I set up my tripod and connected my remote. I got a little adventurous and set up the self timer with the remote so that I would have time to get the remote out of the shot! In fact, our smiles in the last photo are because I chucked the remote across the yard right before the timer went off. This shoot was short and sweet and produced some nice results if I say so myself!
