I met Nikki & Gino for the first time on the night of their wedding! Not typically the way a photographer meets a bride & groom! The happy couple had planned a beautifully intimate ceremony in their sister-in-law Raeann's backyard in Billerica. About two weeks before their ceremony, Raeann contacted me through a referral from my cousin Julie. I said yes and was thrilled to get another wedding! I love shooting weddings and this was my first outdoor one. I had a lot of prep to do in those short two weeks but could not have been more excited! The day of the ceremony was the perfect New England summer day which led into a warm summer evening. Nikki and Gino's ceremony was beautiful with Nikki's daughters standing by her side and their exchange of vows in Italian. The speeches afterwards were full of love and me tear up a little bit myself! I honestly doubt there was a dry eye under that tent when Gino's aunt read a letter from his family back in Italy! Such a wonderful night celebrating the love between Nikki and Gino!

I always love the opportunity to try new things, which is what made this shoot so fun! Paul and Ashley recently purchased their first home together and invited me over for a fun little shoot so that they could share photos with Ashley's family back home in southern California. The ball was not in my court for this shoot: we could only coordinate a time around 12 noon and there was not a cloud in the sky. A photographer's nightmare! Luckily, Paul and Ashley's house is in a very wooded area which provided us with lots of shade. It's also pretty great that a new home shoot involves a good amount of photos inside of the new home! Overall, it was a fun (and very HOT) afternoon!
