I don't know what it is, but it seems like every time I shoot this family, the stars align and give us the perfect session! Last year, I met my cousin Christy and her family at Horn Pond for their 2016 Christmas card photos. This year we did the same, but it all came together last minute and couldn't have gone any better! As you may have noticed, Horn Pond is my go to spot for sessions! It's so easy for my clients to get to and provides such a great background. For this shoot, I wanted to take advantage of the snow storm and knew that red bridge in the back trails would pop so beautifully against the snow. Christy's kids are troopers and made the hike into the woods through the storm. On our way to the bridge, we discovered someone decorated a little pine tree with a few Christmas ornaments. How could we not stop and take a few pics?! After that, we finally made it to the bridge. The kids had so much fun playing in the snow which provided so many great candid photos! There were snow balls, snow angels, and even a snow man! Hands down my favorite family portrait session thus far!
