If you don't believe in fate, meet Tim and Kelly, they'll change your mind! Their story all started thousands of feet up in the air when two strangers sat next two each other on an airplane. Instead of throwing in some ear buds and shutting out the world, they made conversation and the rest is history... This October they had an epic Halloween themed wedding which I had the honor of photographing! SO FUN! (so spooky!) Nothing beats fall in New England and NOTHING beats Halloween in Massachusetts. Mother Nature even decided to match their theme by providing a nice weekend long Nor'easter with downpours, wind gusts, and over all gloomy chilliness. While the wind hollowed outside, guests arrived in their festive costumes and were greeted with cobwebs, skeletons, and spiders galore! The bridal party was decked out in black with accents of blood red popping out here and there. The groomsmen wore subtle undead face paint while the bridesmaids wore mini witch hats and carried witch's brooms in place of flower bouquets. The Jr bridal party wore grim reaper robes and carried scythes to pave the way for Kelly's grand entrance to 'I Put a Spell on You' while she was being escorted down the aisle by her two sons. The ceremony was officiated by their dear friend Captain Jack Sparrow with guest speaking appearances by a kitty cat and Mrs Potato Head. Following the ceremony, guests boogied the night away but not before coming together for a group photo! Till death do they part.... Check out Tim & Kelly's full gallery here!

I've been looking forward to this wedding all year! I must say, as much as I was excited for this day, I was also pretty stressed in the weeks leading up to it. After a 4 week battle with tonsillitis and what seemed like no end in sight, I was starting to worry that I wouldn't be able to get out of bed on the day of the wedding! Not a thought any photographer wants to have! But alas! There was a glimmer of hope! The word tonsillectomy got tossed into the conversation and soon enough my tonsils were gone and I was off to the mountains with my camera!
The ceremony was held at the summit of King Pine and was absolutely beautiful! Guests came up to the summit on the ski lift (making it a wedding to remember!) and sat with a view that overlooked mountain tops and a beautiful pond below. The ceremony was short and sweet (I mean that in the absolute best way). You could tell that the bride and groom were so eager to say "I do". After the ceremony, we took advantage of the views and took some great portraits at the summit and then made our way down to the bottom for the reception. The reception was SO fun! There was great food, emotional toasts, dancing and even a little bit of limbo! Definitely a night to remember! Want to see more? Check out Jenna & Josh's Gallery! Katelyn and Steven got married at Grandview Farm in Burlington Massachusetts on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in September. Their wedding was intimate, the venue was beautiful (a hidden gem right in the center of town!) and they were showered in love by family and friends! I absolutely loved this wedding! Their ceremony began with their daughter walking down the aisle as their flower girl. She was definitely a crowd favorite as her giggles and commentary broke the ice during the ceremony! Steven's face just said it all when he first saw Katelyn making her way down the aisle. By far my favorite groom moment that I've photographed! Their ceremony was sweet and officiated by Steven's brother. After their ceremony, they greeted each of the guests and headed out front for a fabulous portrait session! The Farm offered such a beautiful backdrop for their photos! (I have a weakness for New England farm houses!) and I could not have wished for better lighting! Once back inside, the guests were treated to a BBQ buffet for dinner and the toasts by the Best Man and Maid of Honor.
You can check out their complete gallery here! I met Amy through my cousin Christy. Amy's son and Christy's son are best friends, but funnily enough, Amy did not realize I had a connection with Christy other than being her go-to photographer! I met up with Amy and her mini-best man (her son) a few months before the wedding to get to know her and have a discussion about the big day. This was my first all day wedding and I was so excited! I love shooting the "getting ready" portion and to get to do that, the ceremony, the portraits, and the reception all in one day was a dream! I was also SO EXCITED because I had my good friend Abby with me as my second shooter! We had so much fun together and were able to get to get two different perspectives of the night! Sean & Amy and their entire wedding party were so fabulous to work with and were such great sports about trying different poses!
Amy and Sean picked Hidden Hills in Rindge New Hampshire for their venue because Amy had actually grown up in Rindge! It was a special place for their special day. The ceremony itself was so romantic with the sun dipping below the tree line creating a gorgeous glow. Their reception was so fun! Amy and her son had a special dance together that turned into them doing the Whip and Nae Nae (such a cool mom!). Their cake was made by Sean's mom! She is such a talented cake decorated! She showed Abby and me some more of her work (including a Harry Potter one!) and we were in awe! The night ended with some rain as the guests departed. Abby had left a little early because she was coaching a swim meet the next morning at 6am! (she's Superwoman!) It seemed like the party was over, so I began to pack up my camera. Just as I was zipping up my bag, the bridal party lit up some sparklers and were dancing in the rain! I whipped my camera back out and captured the fun! Such a memorable way to end an amazing day! It was such an honor that Amy and Sean let Abby and I be a part of their special day. You can check out their full gallery here. |
